Dr Geetha is a registered Consultant in Metabolic Medicine and a Counsellor and Psychotherapist (IMC / GMC and British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists)
Education: Dr Geetha obtained her M.B.B.S., M.D., Ph.D (Madras University) and PG Cert in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Leeds Beckett University)
Additional Training : Mindfulness (Bangkor University), PG in Classical Indian dance and music
Awards: Doctor of Letters (Bradford University) and OBE (Order of the British Empire)
Work Experience: Dr Geetha worked for nearly 30 years in various health organisations as a Consultant in Medicine and Counselling / Psychotherapy

Dr. Geetha continues with private practice at Tower Clinic (https://towerclinic.co.uk) and also does remote online sessions with patients who are abroad or live far away.

Dr Geetha’s therapeutic sessions are devised and delivered to suit the needs of each individual patient. She uses Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution focussed Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Creative Therapy and Mindfulness,
Dr Geetha has delivered regular workshops, lectures, seminars and courses for health and creative sector professionals. As a Professor and the Leeds Beckett University, she has also taught undergraduates and post-graduates on health issues and is a guide for PGs. She is dedicated to patient care, teaching, research and cultural work where she has published articles. Being passionate about arts, she also uses a variety of creative approaches in her therapeutic work.
